For the second time in as many months I went to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. The first time was to get out of the house and this time it was to go out there with Wayne and his sister to show them how to use their cameras. Well don’t really know if I showed them to much as I’m always discovering something new about my own camera. But I at least showed and encouraged them to shot in Aperture mode instead of just shooting in auto mode. DSLR manufacturers are doing their customers a disservice by putting an auto mode on their cameras as you can always get a better shot with the other controls.
So back to the story – We walked around the Japanese Gardens which was nice since I haven’t been there in a few years. With it being early spring the color were bright a vivid. And the regular Botanical Gardens area was nice and busy with people looking to see all the new blooms of the year. Lots of new roses in the rose garden too.
I’m supposed to do an engagement shot for a friend at the Gardens and it looks like it’s going to be a nice place to take the pictures in. I just hope I do it right as I’ve never done anything like that before….. oh well. I’m not charging them anything so they’re getting what they pay for I guess.
